Last Saturday was Emma & Jake’s Orem Temple Wedding day, and it was absolutely stunning from beginning to end.
If you’ve been around for long, you know that my favorite weddings are always ones that start with a chance of rain… I need to learn that it may actually be a great sign! It felt like deja vu from Emma & Jake’s stormy bridal session as I drove down I-5 watching the storm approach. The clouds were dark and heavy, but as I pulled into the temple parking lot, I saw a large, lighter patch of clouds coming in and I knew that Emma & Jake were about to have another weather miracle!
Emma & Jake exited the Orem temple after their sealing to a tunnel of their closest family and friends in spring shades of their wedding colors-pink, purple, and blue. They had a HUGE crowd (EVERYONE loves these two as much as we do), and we started into family portraits hoping that we could finish before any more rainfall.
If you’ve been thinking about doing mismatched bridal party dresses, this is your sign. These girls truly did the BEST job I have ever seen with coordinating both colors and textures. Plus, the bouquets by Painted Daisy pulled everything together perfectly.
My team photographed an Orem temple wedding earlier this year, but this was my first, and I have to say, I was impressed! I felt like the temple was really photogenic, especially with all of the spring blooms and the bright colors. We had several areas that all worked great for portraits, and I LOVED the paved areas-perfect natural reflectors for group photos!
We split up to head to their reception at the Hideaway on Angel in Layton and drove up through another big rainstorm. For the next few hours the rain POURED, but it let up just in time for us to run out and grab some family portraits at the venue before the reception began.
Emma & Jake had the most beautiful wedding day, and it was such an honor to get to be a part of. Want more of these two? View their winter engagements and red rock bridals!
