MUST HAVE: Wedding Day Emergency Kit Items

Tips and links to build your very own wedding day emergency kit. These essentials will ensure a stress-free wedding day!

This blog post may be the most important one I’ve ever written. Trust me, as your friendly neighborhood wedding photographer, I’ve seen it all – from wardrobe malfunctions to last-minute makeup mishaps. Lipstick on the dress to migraines and hangry grooms. That’s why I’m here to let you in on the ultimate wedding day secret weapon: the emergency kit! Trust me, having one of these babies on hand can turn a potential disaster into a minor hiccup. So, copy and paste or go ahead and build your kit now, because I’m about to spill the contents of my trusty kit and why you need one too!

  1. Stain Remover to the Rescue:
First things first – stains happen. Whether it’s a rogue glass of red wine or a smear of lipstick, a stain stick or these wipes are your best friend. A quick dab and voila! That pesky stain is history, and your wedding day outfit is back to looking fresh and clean.
  2. Sewing Kit for Quick Fixes:
Let’s face it – wardrobe malfunctions are bound to happen. That’s where a sewing kit comes in handy. Whether it’s a loose button or a popped seam, a few quick stitches can save the day and keep your outfit looking picture-perfect. I can’t tell you how many times a pair of tiny scissors has saved the day.
  3. Safety Pins for Everything:
Safety pins are like the duct tape of the wedding world – they can fix just about anything. From securing a loose hem to taming unruly bra straps, having a handful of these bad boys on hand can save you from all sorts of wardrobe woes. Plus, you’ll use these WAY beyond your wedding day.
  4. Pain Relievers for Headache-Free Fun:
Let’s not forget about the dreaded headache that sometimes comes with all the excitement of your big day. Keep some pain relievers on hand to nip any headaches in the bud and keep the party going strong. Liquid IV is our other suggestion. STAY HYDRATED!
  5. Band-Aids for Blisters and Boo-Boos:
Dancing the night away in those fabulous shoes can sometimes lead to a few blisters. Keep some band-aids in your emergency kit to provide some much-needed relief and keep you on your feet until the last dance.
  6. Snacks for Hangry Emergencies:
Last but not least, don’t forget about snacks! A hungry bride or groom is not a happy one, so keep some granola bars or other portable snacks in your emergency kit to keep those hunger pangs at bay.

Having a wedding day emergency kit is a must for any bride, groom, or wedding vendor. From wardrobe malfunctions to hunger emergencies, you never know what the day might throw at you. So, do yourself a favor and pack your kit full of these essentials – trust me, you’ll thank me later! Have the wedding of your dreams, knowing that you’re prepared for anything that comes your way. Cheers to love, laughter, and a stress-free wedding day!
