Abby and Wesley are so much fun!! They chose to have their engagement session at Tibble Fork Reservoir, which is a perfect fit for them. An easy, comfortable, and fun outdoor environment with water, beautiful trees and the large field gave so much dimension and variety to their gallery, and totally allowed them to shine. Wesley kept Abby laughing the entire time during the session, and it was evident how much he loved to make her laugh.

The light couldn’t have been better. Seriously, the sun coming through those aspen trees? STOP!!!! When we shoot at Tibble Fork, we want to arrive several hours before the sunset, since it is so deep up in the mountains. We usually start off in a tree, then head out into the field for some open portraits, and finish along the dam for the classic Tibble Fork view with the mountain in the back. Personally, we don’t have cell service at Tibble Fork. Be prepared that you may not have service. To help with this, we meet all of our clients by the main bathrooms right as you turn up the hill into the parking lot.

This is a great location, but has recently become pretty crowded with photographers, so we recommend choosing to schedule your session on a weekday evening!
