Boise Train Depot Wedding

A Boise Train Depot wedding filled with intentional details, love for friends and family, and portraits overlooking the Boise Valley.

Annie & Chris are one of the most intentional and thoughtful couples I know, and every party of their Boise Train Depot wedding was planned with detail and meaning.

When they toured the Boise Train Depot, they loved the idea of the history of the building and the property. This was a place where thousands of people came and went, and it seemed like the perfect place to honor their love story, supported by people coming from across the world. Their bridal party came from all over the WORLD, some bridesmaids and groomsmen traveling from Philadelphia, NYC, Texas, China, and Germany. It was such a special and meaningful way to honor the coming together of two families.

The Boise Train Depot doesn’t have a great location for the girls to get ready, so Annie booked a suite in Downtown Boise at the Inn at 500, which was absolutely lovely, and provided a great experience for her bridesmaids to get ready together in one location.

Annie and Chris shared the sweetest, most intimate first look at the Train Depot. They chose to do a first look and planned to have family & bridal party portraits finished before their ceremony. They wanted to really be able to just celebrate after their ceremony!

The ceremony was performed by Chris’ aunt, who did a beautiful job. Chris and Annie chose to have her tell their love story, along with an introduction to each of them for all of the family and friends who had traveled in and not had the opportunity to meet either the bride or groom. It made their ceremony so much more intimate and special!

I told you that Annie & Chris planned things with intention, and this may be my favorite detail from thier wedding. Annie and Chris love shopping small and visiting the farmers market together. Several of their vendors were local businesses they had discovered at the Farmers Market, like Flourish! They loved Flourish bakery and while dating, would visit the farmers market for their cake balls. Annie and Chris were SO sad when they discontinued the cake balls, and Flourish made them special for Annie & Chris to have at the wedding!

My favorite part of any Boise Train Depot Wedding is the indoor/outdoor effect. There is nothing better than guests gathering just outside of the front steps, watching the sunset over the Boise valley on the terrace. It is absolutely stunning, and an experience that your guests will never forget!

I hope you love these images as much as we do! If you’re curious about their lavender exit, you can read more about it in our post 10 Exit Ideas!
