Romantic Bridal Portraits in the Provo Foothills

One of my all time favorite bridal sessions at my new favorite location in Utah county!

Kennedie and Tyler are so cute, and we are so excited for their classic wedding at Sleepy Ridge in a few weeks. When deciding on the location for their bridal portraits, Kennedie and Tyler wanted to choose a location that would showcase the natural beauty that Utah has to offer, but also bring the viewers eye to focus on the two of them as the main subject. They wanted a location that was non distracting and complimentary to their classic black and white color scheme. We chose this open field at the top of Provo Canyon, and it was the perfect fit. This field is still fairly undiscovered by a lot of Utah photographers which allows it to be a more private experience verses a place like Tibble Fork or Tunnel Springs that constantly have hundreds of people taking photos.

When you arrive at the parking lot for this location, it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. As you look up the hill, you’ll have to climb to get to the field. It looks like you’re about to embark on an entire hike! However, it’s not as bad as it seems, and it’s so worth it to get up to the top to photograph with this stunning backdrop. It truly feels like you’re in the Utah mountains at the very top, and the sunset from the top is absolutely beautiful.

Kennedie and Tyler’s black and white color scheme was accentuated by the smoky sunset, and the soft yellows and greens in the field. We absolutely loved this bridal session, and can’t wait to get to celebrate with them at the end of August at Sleepy Ridge in Orem, Utah.
