Avery & Jacob’s Gibson Jack & Pocatello Temple bridal portraits were absolutely stunning, and in true Idaho fashion, a total weather toss-up. Plus, you need to check out the wood flowers in Avery’s bouquet-she hand dyed them!
We waited all week while the forecast predicted snow, planning to be flexible on the time in order to avoid crazy weather. Then, a day ahead… the forecast dropped to just CLOUDY! As I drove from Boise to Pocatello that morning, there wasn’t a cloud in sight. I was shocked.
I arrived at Gibson Jack several hours early, since we weren’t sure if it had gotten a lot of snow in the past storm. It was perfect. No deep snow, but still enough on the ground that it looked fresh. However, I could see big clouds looming just behind the mountains.
I headed over to the Pocatello temple to check out the weather and scenery over there. Same thing! Perfect conditions on the ground, big clouds behind the temple.
I worked in the car for a few hours, and as our start time came closer, I noticed the clouds getting closer as well. Just as Avery and Jacob shared their first look, the clouds came in and the most perfect snow started.
We spent a while at Gibson Jack, capturing beautiful outdoor portraits, then headed over to the temple to get the classic bridal portraits that every couple needs.
Avery was the THIRD of her friends to choose our team as their photographers. Alli worked with Shanel while I was on maternity leave with McKay, then Gabby worked with Shanel again the next year. It is always such an honor to get to work with repeat clients and previous bridesmaids.
