Courtney and Payson planned the sweetest spring wedding day, and it was the best way to kick off our 2023 wedding season.
They were sealed in the Meridian Idaho LDS Temple, and had their reception at White Barn Weddings in Emmett, Idaho. Courtney and Payson chose the best florist, Courtney at Posie’s Design (she was MY wedding florist).
Courtney’s vision for the blush themed florals was stunning and paired with their custom wedding Nike’s perfectly. Courtney and Payson’s bridal party and family were so fun to work with at the temple (In the photos below, see if you can spot Taylor, one of our 2024 brides).
The forecast looked pretty dark, but we made it through their temple exit and MOST of the portraits without any rain. As we were finishing up their husband and wife portraits, the rain started to pour, but how sweet is this umbrella photo.
Courtney and Payson were the sweetest, and we continued to take some portraits as the rain storm continued to get even heavier.
Then we headed to White Barn Weddings in Emmett for their reception, which was beautiful. Courtney and Payson’s family were so much fun, and had memorable traditions that involved dancing and incorporating the audience into the reception.
They started with some speeches from family and friends, included two groomsmen who were not able to be there because they were serving missions. This was a really fun way for the audience and reception attendees to be able to get to know Courtney and Payson.
The DJ (DJ Dave, our favorite Boise, Idaho DJ), did the best job at keeping the audience engaged throughout the evening, even during moments like the cake cutting and the first dance that typically only involve the bride and groom. We loved working with DJ Dave, and are excited to work with him again in the future. Then Courtney and Payson’s dance party began, and their friends and family went wild. Once it was time for their exit, the guests headed outside to send off the newly married couple, while Courtney and Payson shared one last dance vefore heading out for the night.
This spring wedding was so much fun, and one of my 2023 favorites.
