Boise Idaho Temple Wedding & Rural Idaho Reception

The Boise Idaho temple was quiet and serene the morning of Nikki + Kobe’s wedding, and their farm reception was a country wedding dream.

Boise isn’t necessarily known for crazy weather, but the week of Nikki & Kobe’s wedding it was setting records. Things had been wildly stormy all week, but on Saturday morning as I headed into Boise, I could see the storm clouds breaking. The day cleared and the evening ended with blue skies, warm weather, and the most beautiful sunset.

Kobe lights up Nikki’s world. It was so fun to watch throughout the day as he made her laugh over and over again. They had the best energy, and it was easy to tell they are more than in love, they’re best friends.

This was my 3rd West family wedding, all in Boise. My first (literally, first wedding EVER) was Shauna (Nikki’s mom) and Jeff’s wedding. Then just over a year ago we photographed Annahlise (Jeff’s daughter) and Colton’s wedding. As we waited outside the temple for Nikki and Kobe to exit, the sun was coming out and the anticipation was buzzing. The weather just kept getting better and better, and so did the day.

The hit of their reception was the churro & ice cream bar. I’m going to be craving them FOREVER. My other favorite part of their reception was the special kids area. They had custom coloring pages (the maid of honor drew a cute illustration of the bride and groom), a chalkboard table and teepee, and jumbo jenga. I highly recommend something like this especially if you know you can expect a lot of kiddos on your wedding day.

A hand-made dress by the brides mama, a friendly BSU/UofU rivalry, AND a slip and slide exit? A perfect wedding day!

As always, it was an honor to get to be a part of capturing a special day for a sweet couple and their families!

xoxo,

Carys
