A Dusty Blue Bountiful Temple Wedding at Eldredge Manor

There’s a particular kind of joy that fills a room when a family is celebrating their first wedding. Every hug at the reception carries a little extra weight, because everyone in the family is watching this happen for the very first time. That’s exactly the energy Carolyn and Ethan’s wedding day had! On a warm 90-degree Thursday in July, these two were married at the Bountiful Temple and celebrated that evening with a dusty-blue garden reception at the historic Eldredge Manor in Bountiful, Utah. It was an absolute joy to document from start to finish.

The Sealing: Bountiful Temple

Carolyn and Ethan were married at the Bountiful Utah Temple, and because it was a weekday, they were the only couple on the grounds, which made their day feel extra special and exclusive. Afterward, the couple took portraits around the temple grounds and its signature arches and fountain. Carolyn’s peach, blush, and dusty-blue garden bouquet was the perfect color accent against the bright temple and the perfect bright blue sky.

Getting Ready: Dusty Blue Robes and Quiet Moments

Before the reception began, Carolyn wanted to make time for detail portraits and getting ready time with her bridesmaids and mom. This is a HUGE favorite for me. These moments are SO special, and worth the extra time on the wedding day. Down the hall, Carolyn’s bridesmaids lined a grand staircase in matching dusty blue silk robes, with Carolyn in ivory, laughing together before the day even really began. Carolyn’s mom buttoning up her dress, purchased from Bridal Image, the same place her mom purchased her dress 25 years ago. Plus, flat lay details telling their own story. A trio of gold rings resting on a dusty blue, French-inspired invitation suite with delicate floral illustrations (custom designed just for Carolyn & Ethan), tucked alongside Carolyn’s lace veil.

The Reception: A Garden Under String Lights at Eldredge Manor

For the reception menu? Carolyn and Ethan skipped the traditional plated dinner entirely in favor of a towering, rustic wood-stand display of specialty wood-fired pizzas, proof that the most memorable receptions are the ones that feel like you. Eldredge Manor’s patio came alive as the sun went down. The beautiful wooden pergola was draped in white fabric and peach and blush florals with string lights woven through the trees overhead and boxwood hedges lining the dance floor. I just LOVE Eldredge Manor. It was the perfect backdrop for a first dance dip and a dance floor packed with cheering groomsmen and friends as the night went on.

As the night wrapped up, guests lined the garden path with sparklers held high for one last kiss (ok, more than one). Carolyn and Ethan dipping into a kiss surrounded by light, cheering friends, and a perfect final frame to close out their wedding day.
